AAB Season 2021

The AAB Season for 2021 runs off at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex with the Get Back On Track meet from April 24th – April 25th 2021.

Frank ‘Blackie’ Blackman

The board of the Athletics Association of Barbados wishes to express its sincere condolences to the family of the late Frank Eric Blackman. ‘Blackie’ was a giant of track & field in Barbados and has left indelible mark on its landscape.

The funeral and interment of the late Frank Eric Blackman (BCH) will take place on Friday, March 26th, 2021 at 10:00am. There will be live streaming of the service at the James Street Methodist church https://inlovingmemory.online/FrankBlackman.

The burial procession will proceed to the Westbury Cemetery where he will be laid to his Eternal rest.

 

Restart of the AAB Season

Technical Director, Mrs. Esther Maynard announced last night at the AAB Stakeholders’ Forum that the 2021 Competitions will get under way on April 24th, 2021. There will be seven (7) meets for the season.

2021 Track & Field Season

The start of the official 2021 AAB Season will be delayed due to the impact of the COVID-19 virus on Barbados. The season was due to begin on Saturday, January 16th 2021. However, the season has been suspended until further notice.
