The Athletics Association of Barbados (AAB) wishes to inform you that we have
observed a conflict in the 2018 Carifta Technical Manual related to the deadline for
final entries.
As a direct consequence of this, we have extended the qualifying period to achieve
the Carifta standards from Saturday March 03 to Saturday March 10, 2018.
All Under 17 and Under 20 athletes who are registered athletes of the AAB and
competed at the 2018 Barbados National Junior Championships are
therefore eligible to have performances achieved at the AAB sponsored meet
on March 03 and the BSSAC sponsored Zone Meets (held between March
06 and 09) considered for selection.
Kindly note however that the conditions outlined in the Carifta Selection Criteria
and other AAB information related to selection of athletes apply.
The Board of the AAB extends best wishes for success to all our athletes at the
upcoming meets.
